Location: Cape Town

Salary: R1mil CTC per annum

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Manager, this role is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, driving operational compliance, and contributing to strategic business planning. It also involves interpreting complex financial data, managing audits and tax processes, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support in the interpretation of complex financial data and provide strategic commentary.
• Develop and report on cost drivers, KPIs, and financial benchmarks.
• Prepare internal management reports and analyze variances.
• Collaborate with business units to understand financial outcomes and trends.
• Manage external audits and ensure tax compliance in line with statutory requirements.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure operational governance.
• Provide accounting insights, technical guidance, and mentorship to junior team members.
• Continuously improve finance processes and support various finance-related projects.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand the financial impact of business decisions.

Requirements:

• CA(SA) or equivalent, with 3–5 years post-articles experience (preferably from a large audit firm).
• Experience in financial services, particularly in asset management, is an advantage.
• Proficiency in financial systems such as HFM or OneStream is a plus.
• Tech-savvy with a keen interest in learning new platforms.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
