Vacancies for Senior Financial Accountants

We are seeking two Senior Financial Accountants to report to a Finance Manager in the Financial Services Centre.

Location: Dunkeld, Johannesburg

Introduction

The successful candidates will support various functions with their financial processes to achieve compliance, standardisation, and efficiency in the financial accounting of Life Healthcare.

Critical Outputs

1. Review accounting reconciliations, GL analyses, and resolve reconciling items.
2. Ensure complete, accurate, and timely processing of transactions.
3. Ensure compliance with corporate governance, procedures, and protocols.
4. Assist with accounting issues, including report preparation, expense/income analysis, and recommendations.
5. Promote best operating practices and strive to improve working methods for standardisation and efficiency.
6. Assist in the annual budgeting process.
7. Support internal and external auditors.
8. Assist in preparing relevant annual financial statement notes.
9. Participate in planning, training, and supporting new/refined processes.
10. Manage ad hoc projects and requests from Management.

Requirements

• BCom degree.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Experience in implementing new processes/systems.
• Experience in engaging with senior stakeholders is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
• SAP experience is an advantage.
