Job description

Senior Financial Accountant

Area : Germiston, Gauteng

Type of position : Permanent

Salary : Negotiable up to R45000 p / m - based on qualification and experience

JOB ROLE : The position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, preparing financial statements and handling intercompany loan accounts and transactions between the group of companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, reconciliations and journal entries
  2. Ensuring timely payments of accounts payable
  3. Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports
  4. Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
  5. Maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations including submission of returns
  6. Assist with audits and other financial reporting requirements
  7. Provide support to the accounting team as needed
  8. Manage intercompany loan accounts and transactions between our group of companies
  9. Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve any discrepancies
  10. Prepare intercompany invoices and ensure proper recording of intercompany transactions
  11. Perform any other duties required that could be expected from the position
  12. Manage team members in the accounting department

REQUIREMENTS :

  1. Degree in Accounting or Finance
  2. Completed articles (SAICA or SAIPA) would be advantageous
  3. Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
  5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  8. Clear Credit and Criminal checks
  9. Validation of Highest Level of Education
  10. Valid References
