We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in driving the financial success of our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and manage the company’s budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Prepare accurate and timely cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Analyse financial performance against key metrics and provide actionable insights to the management team.
- Project Costing & Work in Progress (WIP):
- Working closely with the delivery team, accurately cost projects, and ensuring all financial aspects are considered, and margins are optimized.
- Monitor and manage work in progress, ensuring that all projects are accounted for and invoiced promptly.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls over project costing and WIP.
- Transfer Pricing:
- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations, preparing documentation, and managing intercompany transactions.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the management team, providing clear explanations of financial performance and variances.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Liaise with external Auditors to finalize the statutory accounts and assist with the year-end audit.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the finance team meets deadlines and delivers high-quality financial information.
- Collaboration with Management:
- Work closely with the management team to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and drive business growth.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Professional accountancy qualification.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Xero financial software, Microsoft Excel, and experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration and hands-on involvement.
