Responsibilities
- Daily Cashbook
- Implement financial policies and regulations and monitor continuously.
- Supervise and manage Admin Staff: Procurement, Stock Control, Debtors, Creditors, Payroll and all daily functions.
- Manage all accounting transactions & GL, analysing and corrections
- Liaison with auditors and preparation for audit
- Supervise and raise queries on weekly age analysis (Debtors & Creditors)
- Fixed asset activity, process and expense in BS accordingly.
- Payroll wages and salaries and related entries (loans, leave etc)
- Accounting data analysis
- Sage Administration - new debtors, new suppliers, changing of incorrect input data, credit guarantee limits and blocked accounts
- Commission calculation
- Monthly Creditors payments and daily sundry creditors payments
- Final petty cash checking and balancing
- Reconcile and submit monthly VAT201 & EMP201 and reconciliations and bi-annual EMP501
- Month - and end-year process
- Management accounts & Monthly financial reporting & variances
- Finalise month end inventory variances and process correction journals.
- Ensure all month end responsibilities according to the admin work flow document are completed on time
- Checking of all entries posted to IS and BS prior to finalising month end.
- Board report financial analysis presentation
- Month-end Shareholders Report
- Bank liaison and administration, documentation, VAF process & requirements, etc (assist office mng)
- Cashflow Checks
- Cost Analysis on request
- Daily checking of PO's, SO's and all transactions posted to the ledger prior to being posted.
- Stock sheet variance analysis
- Annual Archiving after completion of audit and ensuring that the container is maintained according to archive regulations
Requirements:
- Must have the relevant B.Comm Accounting qualification and good experience in the corporate field
- Solid and verified experience - minimum 5 years experience as a Finance Manager
- Preferably someone with experience in the FMCG industry.
