Job description

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Finance Manager in the Finance Division.

The role requires a highly capable candidate to oversee Clientele Group Reporting and Distribution Channel management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Preparing monthly reports and analyses.
  2. Presenting reports to executive members.
  3. Group reporting and regulatory reporting for the group.
  4. Managing income tax and VAT submissions.
  5. Internal controls management.
  6. Understanding risks affecting distribution channels and implementing systems to mitigate these risks.
  7. Preparing budgets and forecasts.
  8. Processing/reviewing monthly trial balances.
  9. Reviewing/preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  10. Reviewing daily payments and supporting schedules.
  11. Handling ad hoc reports and tasks (e.g., involvement in IFRS17 implementation).
  12. Preparing annual financial statements and notes, including accounting policies.
Stakeholder and Team Management:
  • Liaison with internal and external auditors.
  • Business partner for distribution channels.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading and managing the finance team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified CA(SA) or CTA with articles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum 7 years post-article and post-audit experience.
  • Strong IFRS technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is advantageous.
