Job summary

SavageOne Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Field DTP Operator to produce high-quality layouts for retail leaflets, digital and social media content, and POS materials. You will ensure artwork is accurate, visually engaging, and compliant with client CI specifications and print-ready standards.

Applicants should have a tertiary qualification in DTP and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in DTP design for print and digital media, with strong Adobe Creative Suite skills on Mac.

Responsibilities

• Receive and interpret briefs from clients accurately.
• Create artwork for both print and digital media according to brand CI guidelines.
• Ensure correct image resolution, spreads, and bleed settings for production.
• Collaborate with Repro or Technical Teams to determine DTP job requirements.
• Verify accuracy of all content and technical details before beginning design work.
• Produce and proof artwork to specifications, resolving errors and applying corrections until final approval.
• Conduct electronic checks for colour separations, overprints, and technical issues.
• Identify potential print problems and advise relevant teams accordingly.
• Deliver excellent internal and external customer service.

Core Purpose of the Job

To produce high-quality product layouts for retail leaflets, digital and social media content, and POS materials. The role ensures artwork is accurate, visually engaging, aligns with client Corporate Identity (CI) specifications, and meets all technical and print-ready standards.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and interpret briefs from clients accurately.

Create artwork for both print and digital media according to brand CI guidelines.

Ensure correct image resolution, spreads, and bleed settings for production.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Desktop Publishing (DTP) or related design field

Minimum 10 years experience in DTP design/layout for print and digital media

Strong understanding of the printing and digital production processes

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

Strong Apple Mac platform knowledge

Experience working with retail leaflets and POS materials

Understanding of prepress processes, image resolution (300dpi), CMYK colour mode, and file output standards

Familiarity with social media design formats and responsive layouts
