Job summary

The Foschini Group (TFG) is seeking a Buyer III to lead sourcing of trend-driven clothing and accessories in line with brand strategy and customer expectations. This role oversees market analysis, supplier negotiations and assortment planning to maximize sales and profitability.

Lead a team, mentor juniors, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure a competitive product offering. Willingness to travel for buying trips is required; local and international trips are possible.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as a Buyer is required.
• Experience with Beauty retail cycle and buying process.
• Excellent planning, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Product development and negotiation skills are essential.
• Analytical skills and knowledge of Quick Response model would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure a balanced range of merchandise aligned with strategy.
• Collaborate with planner through analysis of sales patterns and trends.
• Develop departmental strategies to maximize sales and secure stock in time.
• Negotiate to deliver financial KPIs.
• Build and maintain relationships with employees, suppliers and key functions.
