About the role

We are seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to manage a team that plans, co-ordinates and controls all technical and facilities management activities on behalf of the client.

What you will bring:

  1. Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (BSc or BTech) or accepted Diploma in mechanical / electrical engineering
  2. Between 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in retail or commercial or 5 to 10 years Engineering Maintenance / Projects experience in a factory
  3. Electrical, mechanical, or construction background, as well as technical skills
  4. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

What you will be doing:

  1. Lead efforts in building management and administration, facilities maintenance, and tenant installations.
  2. Budgeting and forecasting
  3. Ensure that all Planned Maintenance is executed in line with the planned maintenance schedule and all operating systems updated
  4. Ensure all Service Providers are managed in terms of their contract
  5. Execute all CAPEX Projects in the year that they are budgeted
  6. Annual Risk Inspection to be conducted and identified risk items actioned.
  7. Ensure the properties comply with all OHSACT requirements and regulations
  8. Control, guide, monitor, analyse and track all electricity consumption and implement savings initiatives
  9. Control, guide, monitor, analyse and track all water consumption and implement savings initiatives
  10. Internal and External Customer / Client 24hr turn-around response time to queries or requests
