Introduction
Technical Training Instructor for the skills development of interns/beneficiaries/apprentices in their Electrical discipline. To teach learners and manage all Electrical workshop technical training functions and learner matters in line with the Resolution Circle Business plan and accreditation requirements to meet company and client requirements.

- Assist with the preparation of quotations and programme planning for clients

- Responsible for technical training of the interns/learners in the Electrical discipline
- Manage all learner training matters, mentor and coach interns/learners
- Manage, monitor and develop Technical Assistant
- Assess logbooks reports of interns
- Identifying hazards and drive continuous improvements
- Conducting risk assessments
- Conduct daily inspection of equipment and machines in the workshops
- Responsible for workshop tools and machines and keep Mandatory registers up to date
- Responsible for signing of interns’ logbooks
- Maintain discipline in the workshop through monitoring attendance and punctuality, adhering training hours
- Handle disciplinary issues when required in conjunction with HR staff
- Assist in all the aspects of training but not limited to as per company requirements
- Conduct general administrative duties and submit monthly reports to training manager
- Prepare, monitor and control annual training plans inclusive of workshop capacity and learner intakes
- Prepare, monitor and control individual training plans related to each learner
- Monitor and control all learner control sheets, logbooks and other accreditation documentation, including uploading of assessments
- Management of all health & safety (HS) procedures and implementation of HS policies in Electrical workshop
- Interview, assess and select learners for learnership/internship programmes
- Design or oversee the development of non accredite/accredited training material to client specifications as needed or programs
- Prepare and submit modules assessed and moderated to be uploaded
- Manage adherence to all RC ISO standard practices
- Manage stock control of consumable equipment
- Manage scheduled maintenance of equipment
- Manage learner toolboxes: Supply, control of tools within, control when learners are being placed
- To attend all relevant meetings, including the weekly technical meeting, MQA and other SETA meetings as needed
- Stakeholders Satisfaction Pillar:
- Liaise with the WIL coordinators to ensure the training meets the ELO’s
- Conduct an evaluation during and after training, to meet the stakeholders expectations
- Manage all CRM feedback, complete detailed reports of the Electrical workshop
- Ensure 100% success learners’s competence rate
- Learning & Growth:
- Attend RC, departmental and stakeholder meetings and workshops to keep abreast of latest developments at such events.
- Plan own learning and training schedule to ensure effective execution of own job and support the lifelong learning philosophy.
- Participate and contribute to problem solving discussions and ideation for innovation in the workplace in support of the continuous improvement & healthy workplace philosophy.
- Be the custodian of own and departmental knowledge and information that will ensure effective long term personal, team and organisational growth.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Job Requirements:
- Matric or N3
- Trade Certificate and/or Qualification in Electrical
- Qualified SME Registered Assessor & Moderator
- Train the Trainer certificate
- 3 years’ relevant technical experience, preferably in a training environment
