Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Evaluation Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Root Cause Analysis: Conduct investigations to identify causes of non-compliance or sub-optimal performance.
2. Oversight of Analytical Functions: Manage the outsourced Geology analytical function, including planning submissions, transport, sample reconciliation, tracking, and invoicing to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery.
3. Reporting: Compile and report Geology QA / QC statements and analyze 5% check assays.
4. Project Support: Provide support for budget and planning processes and ad hoc projects.
5. Data Management: Deliver accurate and timely information regarding analytical results, highlighting areas of concern.
6. QA / QC Services: Ensure effective and auditable QA / QC services across the group and monitor indicators and trends.
7. Standard Practices Implementation: Implement developed assay management practices throughout operations.
8. Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure awareness of process changes and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Education: Tertiary qualification (B Tech) or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years post-graduate experience in laboratory, evaluation, or operational roles.

Technical Skills: Advanced computer skills and knowledge of QA / QC applications within the analytical environment.
