Job summary

Assegai Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Environmental and Social Impact specialist to lead ESIA/ESDD assignments across Africa. You will advise clients and senior stakeholders, manage delivery quality, and provide technical direction within the Environmental Planning and Advisory team.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support proposals and business development, and travel for project delivery within South Africa and other African countries as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in an environmental and/or social discipline.
• Senior experience leading ESIA/ESDD projects in SA and Africa.
• Willingness to travel across Sub-Saharan Africa.
• EAPASA registration in progress or obtained.
• Experience across water, mining, energy, transport sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead ESIA and/or ESDD assignments and ensure quality on time delivery.
• Advise clients and senior stakeholders on environmental and social matters.
• Manage your technical work and guide outputs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across projects.
• Provide technical direction within the Environmental Planning and Advisory team.
• Build client relationships and support account management.
• Contribute to proposals, marketing and business development.
• Travel across SA and Africa as required.
