Senior Environmental Consultant – Mine Closure

We are currently seeking to employ a Senior Environmental Consultant with more than 7 years' experience working specifically on Mine Closure and Rehabilitation Projects.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Manage project from start to finish.
2. Accurate report writing and evaluating of reports.
3. Provide technical advice internally and externally on a broad range of environmental management subject areas.
4. Actively liaising with clients to ensure relationships are built and encourage ongoing work.
5. Networking within the industry in order to source new opportunities.
6. Assisting clients with Environmental Strategic Development.
7. Conduct environmental audits, inspections and reviews as part of a larger Due Diligence process.
8. Provide input with regards to internal strategic planning initiatives.
9. Must assist with Prospecting and Mining Rights or Permit Applications.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. BSc Environmental Studies or similar field – MSc will be advantageous.
2. Professionally Registered.
3. Minimum of 7 years' working experience as a Mine Closure Consultant.
4. Extensive knowledge in environmental management and application processes.
5. Working knowledge of Equator Principles, World Bank Standards, IFC and ICMM requirements and ISO management systems.
6. GIS understanding.
