We are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing products from first principles and improving existing product ranges.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years of design experience
• Ability to plan and execute project plans
• Ability to guide and mentor other engineers
• Innovative and self-driven
• Hands-on approach to problem solving
• Readily able to adjust to changing priorities
• Objective-oriented, setting goals and meeting deadlines

Responsibilities:

1. Design 3D CAD models and present designs to clients
2. Prepare manufacturing and supplier part drawings
3. Conduct concept and design reviews
4. Manage and support day-to-day design activities
5. Provide creative and technically feasible solutions for cost savings, service issues, and product improvements
6. Interface with materials and purchasing departments on new part design and sourcing
7. Collaborate with Analysis, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to optimize material and manufacturing processes
8. Work with Product Regulation and Compliance staff to ensure designs meet government regulations, restrictions, and codes
