Placements24 is seeking a Senior Energy Analyst to join a fully remote team. You will conduct in-depth research on energy markets, develop sophisticated financial models, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management across global and South African energy sectors.

The role requires a master’s degree in a quantitative field and at least 5 years’ experience in energy analysis or related consulting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy market analysis, financial modeling, or strategic consulting within the energy sector.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software (R, Python, MATLAB, Excel).
• Strong understanding of energy economics, market structures, and regulatory frameworks, particularly within South Africa.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote work environment.
