Job summary

Teleperformance seeks an IR Manager in Cape Town to develop and execute employee relations initiatives, strengthening engagement between management, employees and the HR function.

The role partners with HR specialists, the HR Manager and the Head of HR to build strategies that ensure a sound IR environment within the business unit, including handling disciplinary hearings, CCMA matters and policy enforcement.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent is essential.
• 3–5 years HR-related experience.
• Postgraduate degree in HR, Labour Law or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of LRA and BCEA.
• Experience with IR/ER, CCMA and disciplinary procedures.

Responsibilities

• Act in the best interest of the company within fairness, reasonableness and consistency.
• Internal communication relating to IR matters and guidance to Senior leaders within the organization.
• Chairing of disciplinary hearings, appeal hearings and grievance procedures.
• Represent the company at the CCMA on labour matters.
• Administration of in-house agreements relating to shift patterns, job grades, etc.
• Ability to work independently.
• Employee Relations Program Design.
• Implement Policies and Procedures.
• Be the Subject Matter Expert on Labour Law requirements.
• Oversee ER case data capture and HRIS reporting.
• Oversee ER process reporting and case investigations.
• Liaise with CCMA on case logistics.
• Collaborate with L&D to facilitate IR/ER training.
• Identify IR/ER barriers, risks, and opportunities.

Skills

HR experience 3-5 years

Labour law knowledge (LRA/BCEA)

IR/ER experience (CCMA etc.)
