Job Title

Senior Electronics Technician- Rietondale, Pretoria

Key Responsibilities
  • Device Assembly & Build Support
  • Perform accurate soldering
  • Testing & Fault Diagnosis
  • Conduct functional and performance tests on all outgoing and returned units.
  • Identify faults, troubleshoot failures, and perform necessary repairs.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain comprehensive records of build processes, test results, and unit modifications.
  • Draft detailed reports for returned units to support client communications.
Admin & Workflow Assistance
  • Support the Head Technician with production planning, tracking, and inventory updates.
  • Help implement improvements to technical workflows and internal systems.
Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with operations, engineering and assembly staff to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and assist with R&D activities where relevant.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Technical diploma or certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar field.
  • Proven experience with electronics assembly, soldering, and hardware testing.
  • Competence with tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and basic diagnostic equipment.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with component-level repair and rework.
  • Interest or background in conservation technology is a plus.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage documentation effectively.
