Job Title
Senior Electronics Technician- Rietondale, Pretoria
Key Responsibilities
- Device Assembly & Build Support
- Perform accurate soldering
- Testing & Fault Diagnosis
- Conduct functional and performance tests on all outgoing and returned units.
- Identify faults, troubleshoot failures, and perform necessary repairs.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive records of build processes, test results, and unit modifications.
- Draft detailed reports for returned units to support client communications.
Admin & Workflow Assistance
- Support the Head Technician with production planning, tracking, and inventory updates.
- Help implement improvements to technical workflows and internal systems.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, engineering and assembly staff to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and assist with R&D activities where relevant.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical diploma or certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar field.
- Proven experience with electronics assembly, soldering, and hardware testing.
- Competence with tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and basic diagnostic equipment.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with component-level repair and rework.
- Interest or background in conservation technology is a plus.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage documentation effectively.
