Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Mahikeng to lead design, development and implementation of complex power systems for industrial and commercial projects. You will drive safety, quality and delivery while coordinating with cross-functional teams and clients.

The role requires a strong theoretical foundation and hands-on experience with power systems, load flow studies, protection coordination, and project management. Travel within the North West is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering with focus on power systems.
• Pr. Eng. registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Experience with power system analysis software (ETAP, PSS/E) is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on power systems.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software such as ETAP, PSS/E, or similar.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes (e.g., SANS 10142) and safety regulations.
• Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel within the North West province as required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate independently.
