Job description

We are currently sourcing 3 experienced Electrical Engineers with a strong background in High Voltage (HV) switchgear to be submitted for an upcoming project / client requirement. The ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of postcertification experience in the electrical engineering field with proven expertise in HV systems and switchgear operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design install and commission high voltage (HV) switchgear systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of HV electrical equipment.
• Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve faults within HV switchgear systems.
• Develop and interpret electrical drawings schematics and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with local and international electrical safety regulations and standards.
• Oversee and manage electrical subcontractors during installation and maintenance projects.
• Perform HV switching operations and ensure isolation procedures are followed correctly.
• Prepare detailed technical reports maintenance records and progress documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project managers.
• Provide expert technical support during testing and commissioning phases.
• Identify potential risks and implement corrective action plans.
• Contribute to system upgrades retrofits and design improvements for HV systems.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current).
• Minimum 10 years of postcertification experience specifically working with highvoltage switchgear systems in a professional setting.
• Proven ability to manage largescale projects with effective problemsolving skills and strategic thinking.
• Experience working on complex infrastructure or energy projects is preferred.
• Excellent understanding of electrical schematics system designs and safety protocols.
