Act as an electrical engineering technical authority within the Energy business, providing strategic leadership, technical governance, and expert input on complex energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the electrical engineering authority for major and complex energy projects
- Define and oversee electrical design strategies, standards, and best practices
- Provide expert technical review, assurance, and approval of electrical designs
- Lead high‑risk technical decision‑making and complex engineering problem‑solving
- Advise clients and project teams on complex electrical engineering challenges
- Contribute to work‑winning, bid strategies, and technical proposals
- Mentor senior engineers and support capability development within the discipline
- Ensure alignment with WSP technical excellence, safety, and quality frameworks
Health and Safety
- Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behavior consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental, and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you
- Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm
- Embracing, displaying, and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is always maintained
Qualifications
- BEng / BSc in Electrical Engineering
- 15+ years’ experience in electrical engineering design and project delivery
- Extensive experience on large‑scale energy, power, or industrial projects
- Recognised technical authority within the electrical engineering discipline
- Professional Registration with ECSA
