The ideal candidate has 8+ years in electrical design, strong CAD and simulation tool skills, and a solid grasp of power systems and low-voltage applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in electrical design engineering.
Experience with electrical CAD software and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

Lead the electrical design process from concept to detailed engineering, including system architecture and component selection.
Develop comprehensive electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring layouts, and control panel designs.
Perform detailed calculations for power distribution, load management, and system protection.
Ensure all designs adhere to electrical codes, standards (SANS, IEC), and project specifications.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project teams throughout the lifecycle.
