Henley & Partners is seeking a Senior Editorial & Research Manager in Cape Town to own the research, thought-leadership and communications programme. You will transform proprietary data and expert insight into authoritative content for reports, media and client communications, balancing long-form editorial with rapid-response copy for current events.

You will work with senior executives and external contributors, translating complex data into clear narratives while maintaining Henley’s brand

Formación

• Significant senior-level experience in journalism, editorial, research publishing, professional services or thought leadership.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn around polished copy quickly under deadline.
• Strong news judgement and instinct for what will interest international media, clients, intermediaries and policymakers.
• Proven ability to move between long-form research and concise, media-ready commentary.
• Excellent research and fact-checking skills; comfortable interrogating data, rankings, methodologies and quantitative findings.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior editorial ownership across Henley & Partners' flagship research reports, indexes, publications and thought-leadership programme.
• Write and edit both long-form research content and fast-turnaround, media-ready copy to a consistently high standard.
• Translate complex data, methodologies and research findings into clear narratives, executive summaries and key messages.
• Work closely with PR to respond rapidly to news-cycle and media opportunities, developing press releases, briefing notes, expert commentary, Q&A and opinion pieces.
• Identify the strongest stories and angles within Henley's proprietary research and expert insight.
• Interview senior Henley experts and external contributors and turn their expertise into authoritative publishable content.
• Repurpose flagship research into country briefs, digital content, client and intermediary material, and business-development assets.
• Conduct supporting desk research and rigorous fact-checking using authoritative primary and secondary sources.
• Work closely with research and data colleagues to ensure editorial claims accurately reflect underlying data and methodology.
• Manage contributor commissioning, editorial schedules, version control and publication workflows.
• Maintain consistency with Henley's editorial style, terminology, positioning and brand voice.
• Support Government Advisory with policy briefs, comparative research and specialist publications.

The Senior Editorial & Research Manager will provide ownership across Henley & Partners' research, thought-leadership and communications programme, turning proprietary data, expert insight and complex research into authoritative content for reports, media, digital channels, Government Advisory and client communications. Combines long-form editorial and research capability with fast-turnaround, media-ready writing in response to the news cycle.

• Familiarity with global wealth, migration, investment, economics, geopolitics or public policy advantageous
