Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in steel manufacturing required.
• Competency in Solidworks and AutoCAD necessary for the role.

Job description

R30 000 - R50 000 (Depending on experience with Sheet Metal)

A sheet metal manufacturing company based in Pretoria West is seeking a Senior Draughtsman to start immediately.

Responsibilities:

1. Reading of various drawings and ability to convert it into a Solidworks package
2. Schedule assignments and communicate details to all individuals in the CAD department
3. Participate in all production meetings
4. Generate complex drawings in Solidworks according to specifications
5. Do follow-up checks on completed drawings
6. Create Data Packages
7. Create cutting files
8. Understand the bending, laser, machining and welding procedures
9. Use of all measuring tools
10. Liaison with quality department
11. Identifying various components with regards to drawings
12. Make adjustments on drawings as required from other departments

Experience required:

1. Min 3 - 5 years’ experience required in steel manufacturing
2. Experience in using measuring equipment like tape measure & vernier

Qualifications required:

1. Matric with Technical Drawings as a subject
2. Draughting qualification

Computer Skills required:

1. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook & Excel
2. Experience in Solidworks
3. Experience in AutoCAD
4. Experience in Sigmanest
