Job summary

SGS Bateman seeks an experienced Draughtsman/Lead to manage a team of draughtspersons and deliver drawings for processing plant projects. You will set up the Drawing Office per standards, forecast resources, and report on budgets and progress while ensuring high-quality, compliant drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum drawing office certificate and completed N6 with practical plant experience.
• Experience in mineral processing or related plant environments preferred.
• Strong technical draughting and design aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of draughtspersons to deliver drawings per project objectives.
• Set up Drawing Office (DO) on projects per standards and procedures.
• Forecast DO resource requirements and report on budget and progress.
• Maintain the Drawing Register and DO administration.
• Generate monthly DO metrics and contribute to tender write-ups.
• Provide input into man-hour budgeting and project planning.
• Support DO clerical duties and close-out documentation.
• Ensure drawings are fit-for-purpose with appropriate detail.
