Job description

Reporting to the CEMEA Chief Financial Officer and SEA Group Country Manager, the Senior Director, Head of Finance SEA, will ensure financial discipline, business decision support, and accountability within the region.

Responsibilities include overseeing financial planning and analysis, management reporting, consolidation, and strategic planning.

The role involves enhancing processes, driving efficiency, and balancing risk mitigation with operational efficiency.

As a key advisor to the Group Country Manager, the Senior Director will support short-term financial targets and long-term growth. This role is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead business planning, budgeting, and forecasting for revenues, client incentives, and operating expenses.
  2. Coordinate inputs from regional, global, sub-regions, and functions, and lead the review process.
  3. Own and orchestrate the annual budget plan and long-term strategic plan.
  4. Communicate business implications from analysis and monitor business trends.
  5. Produce materials for executive management review with clarity, accuracy, and timeliness.
  6. Provide leadership in revenue management and decision support analytics.
  7. Engage with function heads to develop domain expertise and drive revenue improvement.
  8. Manage project management, scorecard planning, tracking, and reporting.
  9. Partner with CEMEA head of Pricing and Interchange for pricing proposals.
  10. Simplify complex issues and structure analysis to answer business questions.
  11. Lead a team of analysts in reporting financial results and identifying risks and opportunities.
  12. Manage the Opex budget and headcount.
  13. Execute revenue variance analysis and perform monthly close variance analysis.
  14. Support budget target setting and communicate guidelines to sub-regions / entities.
  15. Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  16. Identify, assess, and manage financial risks to ensure stability and security.
  17. Drive operational efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvements.
  18. Lead and develop the finance team, providing mentorship and career development opportunities.
  19. Oversee and manage financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
  20. Leverage technology and innovation to enhance financial processes and decision-making.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Mastery in finance, financial reporting & analysis, revenue forecasting, and financial modeling. Experience in the electronic payments industry, knowledge of Visa business and revenue streams preferred. At least 13 years of work experience. Previous consultancy experience highly appreciated. Project management skills. Ability to influence peers and teams to drive outcomes. Handle ad-hoc requests promptly and accurately. Postgraduate degree from a top-tier school, preferably in finance and accounting, MBA preferred. User knowledge of TM1 and Hyperion desired. Practical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
