About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Senior Director – Finance and Commercial to lead the financial strategy and commercial operations of our organization. This role is central to driving financial excellence, shaping pricing strategy, and guiding key business decisions with data-driven insights. In this pivotal position, you will shape and execute robust financial and commercial strategies that power our growth and profitability.

You’ll lead cross-functional teams, steer complex bid and pricing efforts, manage the full spectrum of financial operations. From evaluating deal structures to negotiating vendor contracts and optimizing pricing models—this role is built for someone who thrives at the intersection of commercial, finance, strategy, and innovation.

You will also oversee and inspire a high-performing Finance and Commercial team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting.
• Own and evolve pricing strategy, negotiations including scenario modelling, deal structuring, and competitive analysis.
• Drive pricing governance, deal desk facilitation, and stakeholder education across sales, finance, and operations.
• Oversee the allocation of capital and resources to drive strategic growth and strong return on investment.
• Maintain compliance across regions, manage audits, and safeguard financial integrity through robust controls and processes.
• Lead negotiations with vendors and clients on complex commercial matters, including SLAs and pricing terms.
• Empower and inspire a high-performing finance and commercial team, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.

About You

• A seasoned finance leader with a track record of success in multinational environments—ideally within Telecommunications and/or ISP sectors.
• Proven success leading large-scale bids, pricing transformation, and commercial negotiations.
• A strategic thinker who leverages data and financial insight to influence executive decisions.
• Adept at navigating complex financial landscapes, including international tax, foreign exchange, and commercial law.
• Highly skilled in strategic planning, financial modeling, commercial negotiations, and pricing strategy design.
• An influential communicator with proven experience advising C-level stakeholders.
• A collaborative leader committed to people development, process excellence, and ethical financial governance

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; CA(SA) or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years in senior financial leadership roles, including experience with bids, pricing teams, negotiations and international operations.
• Mastery of advanced Excel, business intelligence platforms, and pricing tools.
• Knowledge of global financial regulations, commercial contracts, and enterprise-grade financial systems.
• Extensive knowledge of global compliance standards, vendor contracts, and commercial deal structuring.
