Role Description: This is a paid, full-time hybrid role for a Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure) located in Johannesburg, with some work-from-home flexibility. The ideal candidate will be ready to start by 1 May.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the Azure cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and enhancing the scalability and performance of production systems.

Daily tasks include:

1. Managing CI / CD pipelines.
2. Ensuring system security.
3. Collaborating with development teams to streamline operations.
4. Continuous monitoring of production environments to identify and resolve issues promptly.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and maintain CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
2. Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized workloads.
3. Implement monitoring & security using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Key Vault.

Qualifications:

1. Experience with Azure cloud services, including VM, AKS, and Cosmos DB.
2. Proficiency in automation scripting and tools, such as PowerShell, Terraform, and ARM templates.
3. Skills in managing CI / CD pipelines, using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git.
4. Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on system performance and security.
6. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work independently when needed.
7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
8. Relevant certifications in Azure and DevOps are a plus.
