Job summary

iDbase Software in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a leading banking environment. This hands-on role focuses on AWS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and operational reliability.

You will work with developers, architects, security teams, and other engineers to build and maintain secure, scalable environments, improving automation, deployment templates, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or a similar engineering role.
• Hands-on AWS experience with strong CI/CD pipeline skills.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
• Automation of provisioning and configuration across environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Develop deployment, release, and environment management solutions.
• Improve developer experience with reusable templates.
• Integrate security and compliance into pipelines and infrastructure.
• Identify and automate manual processes to improve efficiency.
