Our client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging the latest technologies to develop high-performance, scalable, and resilient solutions.

In this role, you will support and enhance the software development lifecycle by applying DevOps techniques. Collaborating with IT operations and software engineering teams, you'll automate and optimize procedures to ensure system scalability and dependability.

You will be part of a cross-functional team working on the Account Services Platform, contributing to current functionalities, operational support, and new solution development. Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure using cloud services, with skills in Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
2. CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment, with experience in Azure DevOps, TeamCity, or Octopus Deploy.
3. Monitoring & Performance: Implement solutions to monitor application performance and availability using tools such as Dynatrace, Nagios, Splunk, or Prometheus.
4. Configuration Management: Use tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for infrastructure and application configuration management.
5. Security Practices: Incorporate security into DevOps processes, ensuring compliance with security standards.
6. Collaboration & Documentation: Work with development teams for smooth deployments and maintain comprehensive documentation.
7. Mentorship & Risk Management: Guide junior team members and manage vulnerabilities and risks to maintain secure operations.
8. Platform Management & Infrastructure Provisioning: Oversee platform access controls and manage the lifecycle of infrastructure components.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or systems administration, preferably in financial services
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Windows architecture, enterprise systems, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and databases (SQL, CosmosDB, MySQL)
• Knowledge of security standards and compliance in finance sector
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
