Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Cape Town is seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE to join our engineering team. You will work closely with development squads to automate systems, drive IaC, and build scalable cloud architectures using Azure.

The role requires 3+ years in DevOps/SRE, 2+ years in system administration or development, and strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or CloudFormation, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of DevOps / SRE experience
• Minimum 2 years experience in a System administrator or Development role
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
• Experience with Infrastructure as a Code, preferably CloudFormation / Terraform / Packer
• Microservices and container-based stacks like Docker & Kubernetes
• Experience with scripting with Python, Bash, etc.
• Good understanding of Security and Security practices
• Experience with Configuration Management technologies preferably Ansible
• Experience with monitoring solutions like AppDynamics, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Nagios, or the ELK stack

Responsibilities

• Work closely with development teams to implement and automate systems and architectures
• Driving automation within an organization utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Develop and maintain scalable architecture solutions using Cloud Providers (Azure)
• Coaching your peers and supporting them to grow with your knowledge of Cloud, Datacenter Technologies, Automation, IaS, IaC, SysOps, and DevOps.
