Job summary

Amarico is looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate secure multi-cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS with Kubernetes at scale.

You will manage compute, storage, identity, monitoring and networking, design VNETs/VPCs, and implement IaC pipelines using Terraform and Azure DevOps. This role emphasizes security, automation and cross-team collaboration across tech stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Relevant Azure, AWS or Kubernetes certifications preferred.
• 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud or Infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands-on with Azure and AWS cloud services; Kubernetes experience required.
• Proficiency with Terraform and IaC tooling; Linux administration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Design and support secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS and hybrid environments.
• Manage cloud compute, storage, identity, monitoring and networking services.
• Design and troubleshoot VNET/VPCs, subnets, routing, DNS, VPNs, private connectivity, firewalls, NSGs/Security Groups and load balancing.
• Manage Kubernetes platforms including AKS/EKS, clusters, nodes, pods, services, ingress, storage, RBAC and autoscaling.
• Implement container platform standards using Docker, Helm and container registries.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, YAML and Git.
• Automate build, test, release and deployment processes and implement reliable rollback mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, with Ansible, Bicep/ARM and CloudFormation where applicable.
• Maintain infrastructure and pipeline configurations in source control.
• Reduce manual operational tasks through Bash, PowerShell and Python automation.

Cloud Operations, Monitoring & Optimisation

• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, applications and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build dashboards and proactive alerts using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana and AWS CloudWatch.
• Provide senior-level Linux administration and troubleshoot CPU, memory, disk, file systems, processes, services, certificates and networking.
• Perform root cause analysis for major incidents and implement permanent improvements.
• Optimise cloud resources for performance, scalability, availability and cost efficiency.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Implement cloud, Kubernetes and DevOps security best practices including IAM, RBAC, least privilege, secrets and certificate management.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and support vulnerability remediation and audits.
• Support cloud governance, tagging, rightsizing and cost management standards.
• Provide senior technical leadership, mentor engineers and drive knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Security, Architecture and Operations teams.

Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position

• Relevant Azure, AWS, Kubernetes or DevOps certifications are preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering or related technical roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and practical experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container technologies, including AKS and/or EKS.
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, YAML and Git.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, particularly Terraform.
• Strong Linux administration, cloud networking and troubleshooting experience.
