Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks an experienced tech lead to provide cross-functional leadership in software development, architecture, and data platform projects. You will guide design decisions, enforce standards and contribute to ML-driven data pipelines and applications.

The role requires a strong background in IT, cloud technologies, and modern programming languages, with a proactive, self-managed approach to daily tasks and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology; 5+ years experience in software development, design and architecture; ability to learn and use new technologies is highly valued; proven track record with adopting new tech.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across product to analyze, design and produce quality software and documentation by adhering to and improving the teams' standards and best practices.
• Support team alignment with organizational initiatives while safeguarding the architecture and growing product and commercial awareness.
• Drive the creation, design and implementation of the company data pipelines, warehouses and lakes and the applications that run on them; this includes machine learning applications.
• Provide technical leadership across the company beyond the team.
• Expect a day that varies and is driven by ensuring success of the above; be self-managed and proactive in day-to-day demands.

• Ability to learn and use new technologies is more important than experience thereof, so a proven track record with taking on new technologies is key

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership, including across product; to analyze, design and produce quality software and documentation by adhering to and improving the teams standards and best practices.
• Supports team alignment with organizational initiatives and objectives whilst safeguarding the architecture and growing product and commercial awareness.
• Driving the creation, design, implementation of the company data pipelines, warehouses, lakes and the applications that run on it.
• This includes but is not limited to machine learning applications.
• Providing technical leadership for not only the team but across the company.
• A typical day will vary quite significantly and will encompass whatever it takes to ensure the success in terms of the above.
• The person in this role will be expected to be self-managed and driven as the day-to-day demands will differ and will need to be pro-actively driven by the person in this role.
