Delivery of strategic projects

• Deliver strategic projects on time, in budget, with the desired functionality, at the defined quality level in a sustainable way.
• Contribute to the design architecture/technical implementation related to area of responsibility, while collaborating with other role players.

Best practice quality and testing

• Meet best practice criteria in the evaluation and testing of software.
• When relevant, assure that team members adhere to and follow these practices

System maintenance and support

• Complete work orders in appropriate timescales.
• Maintain and systems without introducing new defects.
• Enhance systems to support and move to new technologies

Knowledge transfer

• Share knowledge with development and support teams.
• Document systems, including enhancements to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Mentor and coach Junior Developers.

Engineering processes and environment

• Ensure that the best practice development processes and standards are followed.
• Effective use of development toolset.
• Relevant Degree or Diploma or Relevant Work Experience required
• Training on related areas and skills would be advantageous

Experience

• Degree / Diploma with 4 years of relevant work experience or 6 years of relevant work experience
• C# development using .NET Framework and .NET
• ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and WCF/SOAP services
• High-performance and scalable API design and development
• Xamarin / .NET MAUI (beneficial)
• Oracle Forms, Reports and PL/SQL (legacy versions including 11g) experience is beneficial
• Experience with bank file processing and DebiCheck integrations is beneficial
• Microsoft SQL Server (incl. SQL Server 2016/2019)
• Entity Framework 6 (EF6), Entity Framework Core (EF Core), and Dapper
• Applies modern software engineering principles including SOLID design principles, design patterns and clean code practices.
• Design and implementation of maintainable, scalable application components and services
• Root cause analysis, debugging, and data investigation
• Performance tuning and application optimisation
• Security principles (authentication, authorization, secure API development
• Code reviews and technical mentoring
• A PI integrations using REST, XML, JSON, SOAP
• Experience using integration platforms; Boomi and/or Azure Integration Services experience is beneficial
• Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint management, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation
• Working knowledge of cloud-hosted application architectures, containerisation, and orchestration technologies (beneficial)
• IIS configuration and application deployment knowledge
