Qualifications

• Certified and licensed Dental Hygienist with a recognized qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in dental hygiene.
• Proficiency in periodontal charting, scaling, root planing and other advanced cleaning techniques.
• Familiarity with dental software for record-keeping and appointment scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive oral health assessments including screening for oral cancer and periodontal disease.
• Provide thorough prophylaxis (cleaning), scaling, root planing, and polishing of teeth.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and regular check-ups.
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation as permitted.
• Expose and develop dental radiographs and assist dentists during procedures.
• Mentor and guide junior dental hygienists to maintain high standards of care.
