Who are we looking for: A Forecast Analyst who has previously worked within a large FMCG business.
What will you do:
A Forecast Analyst is responsible for creating accurate sales forecasts using historical data and statistical models. The role involves collaborating with the commercial team to refine forecasts and reach consensus on weekly and monthly predictions, which are then shared with the supply network planning team. This position aims to enhance sales forecast accuracy and predictability across the value chain.
Demand Planning: Lead the Demand Planning Centralized Process (LCP) routines, preparing for monthly demand reviews, supply reviews, executive S&OP meetings, and weekly demand updates.
Data Analysis: Prepare, analyze, and implement data recommendations, including master data management, segmentation, demand drivers, and normalization.
Forecast Generation: Create statistical forecasts using best-fit models, focusing on commercial collaboration and consensus.
Commercial Collaboration: Propose, agree, and implement commercial enrichment activities such as marketing events, promotions, new product developments, and discontinuations.
Sign-off and Release: Drive demand review and executive S&OP processes with appropriate reporting.
Performance Tracking: Support performance tracking and analysis of forecast accuracy, bias, obsolescence, constraints, and scenarios for short, medium, and long-term intervals.
What do you need:
Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Commercial, or a related field (or equivalent tertiary education).
Proficiency in Excel.
3-5 years of experience in sales/marketing planning or supply chain disciplines within an FMCG environment.
Quantitative discipline orientation (mathematics, statistics, economics) is advantageous.
Basic business financial understanding is beneficial.
