Overview

As a Data Scientist, you will be dedicated to one of our global pharmaceutical clients, a company that values performance, recognizes merit, and has a high focus on quality. This environment encourages innovation, individuality, and embraces people who want to be part of it.

The Data Scientist is responsible for contributing to the development of the strategy for Analytics, Reporting, and Metrics building in line with the overall Business Information Services strategy, leveraging visualization tools and business intelligence platforms.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
  • Leverage business intelligence tools, e.g., Spotfire, for analysis and review.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Provide specialist support for the development, interpretation, and application of machine learning models.
  • Apply analytical and statistical methods to solve identified use cases in an agile manner using various data sources and analytical tools.
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Liaise, advise, and negotiate with key customer groups on requirements and propose innovative solutions for data modeling needs.
  • Develop and implement capabilities to make routine requests more efficient.
  • Contribute to initiatives enabling faster and more effective data modeling, analysis, and provisioning.
  • Ensure systems, code, and documentation are inspection-ready.
Qualifications

You are:

  • Having 3-5 years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models, with a Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • Experienced in using statistical programming languages like Python and SQL (R considered) for data manipulation and insights extraction.
  • Knowledgeable in creating and working with data architectures.
  • Experience with clinical data and domains (preferably within Clinical Trials or the Pharmaceutical industry), but not mandatory.
  • Familiar with various machine learning techniques such as clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc., and their real-world applications and limitations.
  • Proficient in advanced statistical techniques and concepts, including regression, distribution properties, and statistical tests.
  • Excellent in written and verbal communication for cross-team coordination.
  • Motivated to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
