Placements24 seeks a Senior Data Scientist to lead AI/ML initiatives in our Vereeniging, Gauteng office. You will build advanced models, design scalable data pipelines, and collaborate with analysts and engineers to solve complex business problems.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in data science, with a strong focus on AI/ML.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (with libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and R.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent data visualization and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage projects.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa.
