About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly analytical and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join their pioneering team in Richards Bay . This role is critical for uncovering insights from complex datasets, developing predictive models, and driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will work with large volumes of data, employ advanced statistical techniques, and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data into actionable strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques to solve complex business problems.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of product changes and strategies.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences through visualizations and reports.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data science or a similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong experience with SQL and working with large-scale data warehousing solutions.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms.
