About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to apply advanced data analytics, statistical modelling, and machine learning solutions to optimise business performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing predictive models, maintaining and enhancing statistical frameworks, and promoting data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced analytics, statistical models, and machine learning solutions
• Maintain and enhance existing AI and machine learning models to optimise business performance
• Promote the adoption of data science methodologies across the organisation
• Manage data-driven projects that drive strategic business decisions
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
• PhD in a related field is advantageous
• Six to eight years of experience in data science, including predictive model development and implementation
• Experience in the healthcare industry is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods, data science techniques, and machine learning algorithms including neural networks, random forests, and boosting methods
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and SAS
• Proficiency in data storytelling and visualisation using Tableau, Power BI, or SAS Visual Analytics
• Ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning innovations and their applications in the healthcare industry
• Strong project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to build and deploy machine learning solutions using open-source and cloud technologies
