Job summary

BOSS ERP Consulting in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Data & ML Engineer to design and build a scalable data platform, pipelines, SSOT, and AI/ML-ready data structures. You will translate strategy into robust technical solutions and supervise end-to-end data development.

This role sits in our technical shared services team, focusing on data transformation projects, ERP/OT/IoT data, and cross-functional integration to enable reliable reporting and advanced analytics.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering or data platform development at senior/lead level.
• Strong programming in Python and SQL; experience with C# is a plus.
• Hands-on API integration, ETL/ELT orchestration and data modelling.
• Experience preparing data for ML and integrating models into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain end-to-end automated data pipelines into a central data platform.
• Develop an integrated SSOT database consolidating ERP, OT/IoT and SharePoint data.
• Own end-to-end data development solutions and scalable data models.
• Implement MLOps practices and ML-ready data pipelines across domains.
