Placements24 seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join a remote-first team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure supporting advanced analytics and ML initiatives.

You will work with data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and big data technologies, collaborating with Data Scientists and Analysts to deliver data-driven solutions while ensuring data quality, security, and reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL and at least one programming language (Python/Scala).
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL/ELT tools.
• Familiar with Spark, Hadoop or Kafka and cloud data services.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ingest data into warehouses/data lakes.
• Build and maintain data models and schemas for analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to meet data needs.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across platforms.
• Implement monitoring and alerting for data pipelines.
