Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for Welkom to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure supporting analytics and BI. You’ll work with large datasets, diverse sources, and modern tools in a hybrid setup.

You’ll collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver clean, accessible data while ensuring quality, security, and reliability across data systems. This role offers growth and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years in data engineering or similar role.
• Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (Python/Scala/Java).
• Hands-on with Spark/Hadoop and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong data modeling and data warehousing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Create and maintain scalable data warehouses and data lakes.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide clean data.
• Implement and manage data security and compliance measures.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot data infrastructure.
