Guardrisk seeks a Data Engineer – Data Acquisition to lead hands-on integration and data enablement. You will ensure external providers deliver complete, accurate, and timely data for ingestion and processing, with a primary focus on premium bordereaux (BDX) and related master/transaction data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong emphasis on practical data engineering experience over theoretical qualifications.
• 5+ years’ experience as a data engineer, focusing on external data ingestion and integration, file- and API-based data exchange, data validation and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines for external data sources, focusing on premium bordereaux (BDX) and policy/transaction feeds.
• Implement ingestion patterns aligned to Guardrisk’s data architecture (batch, file-based, API).
• Ensure external data conforms to data models, schemas, validation rules, and delivery cut-offs.
• Enable scalable onboarding of new external data providers.
• Engage with external providers to map data structures, formats, and remediation of issues.
• Develop robust ingestion and validation for premium bordereaux and support data quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, and Data Stewards to align data with target models and analytics needs.
