Job summary

Discovery Limited seeks an Associate Data Architect to define, design and govern enterprise data architecture supporting scalable and secure data platforms. You will lead data engineering teams, set standards for data pipelines, storage, and governance, and partner with security, integration, and application architects to enable data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in enterprise data architecture and data engineering leadership.
• Deep understanding of data lifecycle, pipelines, and distributed systems.
• Proven experience with big data and streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark).
• Solid knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
• Ability to design scalable cloud-based data platforms (AWS).
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture strategy.
• Design scalable data platforms for batch, streaming, and real-time processing.
• Establish patterns for data pipelines, ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
• Lead data engineering teams and ensure delivery quality, performance and scalability.
• Set standards for distributed data processing, orchestration, and data quality testing.
• Govern data governance frameworks including lineage, metadata and security controls.
• Collaborate with Security, Integration and Application Architects to ensure governance and alignment.
• Deliver data products for internal and external consumers.
