Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment seeks two experienced Data Analysts / BI Consultants for a short-term telecommunications project in Johannesburg. You will analyse supplier, customer and connectivity data, develop BI dashboards and deliver actionable cost-saving insights to stakeholders.

The role requires strong SQL, Power BI and data engineering capabilities, with experience handling large datasets and collaborating with both technical and business teams. Short-term contract preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analysis, BI, data processing or data engineering.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with large, multiple datasets.
• Hands-on Power BI experience.
• Experience with Databricks or similar big-data platforms is a bonus.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
• Commercial mindset with cost-saving focus.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and link supplier, access link and customer data.
• Work with customer and supplier invoice and billing information.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources into structured datasets.
• Develop customer and supplier lifecycle management data files.
• Perform data cleansing, reconciliation, validation and data quality checks.
• Investigate data discrepancies and obtain missing information from relevant stakeholders and suppliers.
• Analyse connectivity products, suppliers and associated costs.
• Identify opportunities to optimise products or suppliers and reduce costs.
• Develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards.
• Perform data mining and analysis across large datasets.
• Present meaningful insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.
