Job summary

PathCare, a leading medical diagnostics provider in Cape Town, seeks a Mobile App Developer to build cross‑platform web and mobile apps using Angular, Capacitor and Ionic UI framework. The role focuses on scalable, enterprise-grade software and seamless user experiences.

You will work with backend teams to integrate REST APIs, publish apps to Google Play and Apple App Store, and contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement. 5+ years of mobile development preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT.
• 5+ years mobile development experience.
• Proven delivery track record and ability to work independently.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cross‑platform web and mobile apps (Android & iOS) using Angular, Capacitor and Ionic.
• Build responsive UI components using Angular best practices.
• Write high‑quality, reusable code and tests per PathCare standards.
• Apply OOP to ensure scalable, maintainable code.
• Debug, test, and optimize apps for web and mobile.
• Integrate REST APIs with backend teams.
• Generate and manage mobile builds using Android Studio and Xcode.
• Deploy apps to Google Play and Apple App Store.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement.
• Maintain apps and provide escalated support.
