ACME Services in Johannesburg, South Africa, seeks a Senior Credit Manager to lead credit risk, accounts receivable and collections across the business. You will set credit policy, assess risk, and optimize customer exposures.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in credit management, at least 5 years in leadership, and experience in multinational environments. You will collaborate with Sales, Finance and Operations to drive sustainable growth while protecting working capital.

Formación

• 10+ years of experience in Credit Risk Management, Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial position.
• Experience in Distribution, Technology, Telecommunications, FMCG, or multinational organisations preferred.
• Proven experience managing large customer portfolios and high-value credit exposures.
• Strong financial analysis, risk assessment, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and strengthen credit policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks.
• Assess and approve customer credit limits, payment terms, and credit exceptions.
• Evaluate financial statements, banking arrangements, and business performance to assess customer creditworthiness.
• Monitor customer exposures, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct periodic credit reviews, particularly for high-risk accounts.
• Visit markets and business partners to assess credit risks and prepare detailed reports.
• Continuously work towards securing and maximising credit insurance limits.
• Lead collection strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly collection targets.
• Monitor receivables ageing, reduce overdue debt, and improve DSO.
• Drive recovery actions for problematic accounts, including legal escalation where required.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Business teams to balance business growth with credit risk.
• Negotiate payment terms, credit facilities, and settlement agreements.
• Provide commercial guidance and support in structuring business transactions and deals.
