Responsibilities

  1. Maintain ongoing participation in the daily operation of the program through the provision of various clinical and therapeutic activities for the provision of chemical dependence treatment services.
  2. Maintain clinical records in compliance with all regulatory bodies and SJRH / BHS policies and procedures.
  3. Provide assessment, case management, intervention, orientation, treatment planning, individual/group treatment services, and discharge planning for patients and their families.
  4. Collaborate with internal staff and external community resources for client treatment purposes and relationship building.
  5. Participate in all necessary activities to ensure payment for treatment services by insurance/managed care companies including, but not limited to, Medicaid/Medicare.
  6. Prepare reports, maintain statistical data, and attend meetings, as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Must possess a minimum of two years of providing chemical dependency treatment service or two years of experience as a social worker or two years of experience as a mental health counselor.
  2. HS diploma or GED required.
  3. Social workers are required to have a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school.
  4. Mental Health Counselors are required to have a Master's or Doctoral degree in mental health counseling from an accredited school.
  5. CASAC / LMSW / LCSW required.
