Responsibilities include developing costing models, analyzing job profitability, and driving management reporting. A relevant qualification in Finance or Engineering is essential, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. This role requires analytical and operational expertise, bridging finance and production.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience within engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong experience in job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and project reporting.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and operational mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve costing models, labour recovery rates, and machine billing structures.
• Analyse job profitability, margins, overhead recovery, and operational efficiencies.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Implement and maintain practical cost control procedures and reporting systems.
• Support estimating and quotation validation for engineering and fabrication projects.
• Improve ERP/job costing system governance, reporting accuracy, and data integrity.
• Monitor WIP, utilisation, operational performance, and project profitability.
• Identify process improvements, waste reduction opportunities, and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Work closely with workshop, fabrication, operations, commercial, and finance teams.
