Placements24 is seeking a Senior Corporate Treasury Analyst to join our client in Welkom, Free State. The role focuses on liquidity management, cash forecasting, debt management, and investment of surplus funds within a hybrid work setup.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize the company’s financial position while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust risk management.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Senior Corporate Treasury Analyst to join their team in Welkom, Free State . This role is crucial for managing the company's liquidity, funding, and financial risk exposures. You will be responsible for cash flow forecasting, debt management, investment of surplus funds, and ensuring the company has adequate financial resources to meet its obligations. This position offers a blend of office-based collaboration and remote flexibility, supporting the critical functions of the Banking & Finance department. You will work closely with various internal departments and external financial partners to optimize the company's financial position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cash flow forecasts and manage daily liquidity needs.
• Execute short-term and long‑term funding strategies, including debt issuance and refinancing.
• Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
• Analyze and execute investment strategies for surplus cash.
• Monitor and manage foreign exchange exposures and interest rate risks.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of treasury reports for senior management.
• Identify opportunities for improving treasury operations and reducing financial costs.
• Support ad‑hoc treasury projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., ACT, CFA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate treasury or a closely related financial role.
• Strong understanding of cash management, debt instruments, financial markets, and risk management.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and treasury management systems (TMS).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
